The Genesis: How We Became Trillionaires

The Illusion of Luxury

Previously, this space was dedicated to an outdated metric of success. At the heart of our brand was a commitment to crafting bespoke items that epitomized elegance. We were selling personalized soaps and chasing the accumulation of fiat currency—numbers on a screen that cannot buy back a single lost second of life.

But the pursuit of generic luxury felt hollow. We realized that viewing nature merely as a resource to extract from was a flawed paradigm. We were looking for the true meaning of wealth, but we were looking in the wrong place.

June 6, 2024: The Convergence

The pivot happened on a single day. I was turning 42—a number famously known in The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy as the "answer to the ultimate question of life, the universe, and everything."

On that exact day, two massive events collided. First, SpaceX launched the Starship, representing the pinnacle of human engineering and our drive to reach the stars. Second, I found a tiny, fallen fledgling at work. She was an American Kestrel—a falcon.

Biology and engineering converged on my 42nd birthday. Fittingly, we named her Trillion (after Tricia McMillan from Hitchhiker's Guide).

The 108 Days

For 108 days, Trillion lived with us. She became our anchor to empirical reality. Watching her operate—a creature of perfect biological optimization, completely detached from human tribalism—forced a reset in our lives. She didn't care about profit margins or bespoke soaps. She operated purely on the laws of physics and survival.

The Choice of Freedom

The day she left was entirely accidental, yet entirely perfect. I had just put new ankle leads on her, but in a rare lapse, I forgot to attach them to her leash. She rode on my arm, untethered, until she decided to stretch her wings. She flew up, hovered above me for a long minute as I called her back, and then flew to the power line next to the road.

She realized she was free. And she chose the wild.

Welcome to Trillion Estates

But she never really left. Trillion stayed on our land. Eventually, she made a nest right in our house, found a wild mate, and had babies. She is sitting on her eggs right now.

We joke that this is no longer our property; it is her house. We call it "Trillion Estates." And because we live at Trillion Estates, that makes us the true Trillionaires. I even have a tattoo of her on my arm to permanently anchor that reality.

Trillion catalyzed a permanent redefinition of the word "wealth" for us. We abandoned the old metrics and adopted a new manifesto: Wealth in Cells. Wealth in Code. Wealth in Time..

The Open-Source Prototype

Today, from our 2,600-square-foot, fully off-grid basecamp in the rugged landscape of Omak, Washington, my wife and I are beta-testing the next epoch of human living.

We are not gurus, and we do not preach. This website is an open-source vault. We are leaving a trail of data and truth for anyone ready to step confidently into tomorrow.

Watch what works. Take our data. Build your own.
